Pray for Us

Can you say S-T-R-E-S-S?

As you can see we are in the midst of selling our home and moving. We heard from the sellers and they were under the impression that we were closing at the end of this month (3 days from NOW)... Well our house has not sold and we are trying to do our best to be available to show it. We have had ONE showing with the Realtor and a few on our own. The first people put in an offer, but it was WAYYYYY low. We did not get together on a satifactory price, so it is currently still for sale.

OK - now do we do a bridge loan and let our current house sit empty and have 2 house payments? Forget the current house we LOVE? Stay here?

What is up God??? WE know we are supposed to be in that house in the country... but why such a detour? Why the trouble? Who is going to live by Chuck, Marcia, Jack and Josie? Who is going to play with them? Who is going to call them in the middle of the night for a laceration check? (Do we need stitches, Marcia???? - most of the time it was "Yes, you has better go.") I am going to miss them!!

We called the Realtor today and we are having an open house this weekend. We are praying for a good family that can take over our home. This is such a comfortable place and it will be hard to leave all the memories. I walk through the house in the middle of the night and see the kids playing, fighting, giggling, fighting, snuggling, fighting... Oppps -- they don't fight that much... but they are BOYS!! We have enjoyed all the friends and family we have served in our home and cannot wait to serve more in our new home.

In addition - the new property has a rental unit.... well we found out today that the current renters on the property went and purchased a home. Now we need new renters!?!?!?! Again -- why make it difficult God? We are looking for good people that want to rent our double-wide out in the back 40!! Yeee Haaaa. We can get together and watch HEE HAW. Actually it is within 30 feet of the house and close to the pond. The renters will have access to our basement for storms and we have two generators for when the power goes out.

I need to check into high speed internet for work, so I may change to a wireless internet service. (hope that doesn't cause cancer with all the data-waves flying through the air). If it works out, maybe the renters can share the internet access also. (What a perk). (Speaking of perk... Boy - I need some coffee!!)

Well I have been blessed with challenging work and need to get started typing and not blogging... Just wanted to post an update.

So - to sum it up -- Please pray for our home to sell to good people, renters, $$ to buy the other home, and sanity for me and A (and the kids).

Love to all,

Gary

Selling the house

Well -- we did it. Our home is now officially for sale with a local Realtor. We have talked to the boys about leaving the house clean, but these boys are messy. They play hard and the house can feel it. A and I are always cleaning up. Getting pretty frustrating.

H is having a tough time listening. I know he is only 3, but sometimes he acts like a defiant 10 year old. I thought he didn't understand what "No" meant, until he tells daddy "NO!" Makes me so mad my head might explode.

G is having a tough time at school. Defiant, not completing work, not listening, talking. We ask him what he did at school and he tells us about art, recess, gym, but not his schoolwork.... HELP!!!

L is good at school, but struggles with vocabulary work. In math he is working on 5th grade math (he is only in 4th). He loves to read. At home he loves to pick on his brothers... I know... boys will be boys.

Please pray for A, she is having a tough time with selling the house, kids, stress at work (silly patients), and a husband that works too much (note time of blog). I am going to send her some flowers tomorrow, and maybe take her some lunch. Tomorrow is her long day and I would like to be there for her. She is a pretty amazing person. I know that God put us together for our lifetime. We have been married now for 11 years. Last year was a tough year, but we are striving for what God has for us. I envision a triangle with God at the pinochle and A and I on the other corners. As long as we are striving for God, we are closer together, the further apart we are from God, the further we are from each other.

We are looking forward to strengthen our relationships at church, but find it difficult to find the extra time to meet with people/families. We are praying for Godly friends for ourselves and for our kids.

God bless
