We are scheduled to start moving to the new house this weekend. We are closing Friday and will own two houses (i guess three if you count the new and old house with the rental unit)
. We are getting excited and are looking forward to making this new house our home. Aimee has started a longer than ususal to do list for me and I am excited about the new projects (CAN ANYONE SAY - HOME DEPOT!!!).Is it just me, or can you walk around this place for an hour and not buy anything?
We are looking forward to splitting wood for the fireplace, painting a couple rooms and the added space for the kids to run and play. The next door neighbors are great Christians and the husband is the son of the owner we are buying the house from. Logan is as old as one of their boys and they are on the same basketball and baseball teams at Eastwood already.
So much to say about the new house, but anyone is welcome to stop by. We would love to have you over for dinner. Over the next couple weeks (when we are settled) I would like to have an openhouse to have people come over to bless the house and our life in it. The previous owners are Christians and we want to continue the traditions in the home as it is very blessed by the Holy Spirit (per the current owner!!).
We were at the auction from the owners over the weekend and purchased some items for the house. It was sooo cute. Some of the neices, nephews, sons and daughters introduced themselves to me and Aimee and were glad we were getting the house. They were all sad, but excited. To see this family together like this got Aimee and I excited about having my parents at the property and spending more time with them.
We are also hoping, with the pond and other outdoor things, that Aimee's mom and dad will come up to visit more.
Please pray for:
- Safe moving to the other house.
- Strength for my out of shape muscles to heal after the heavy lifting.
- Peace
- Our old house to sell.
- Logan is at camp this week. We pray for his safety, learning, and building friendships.
- Garrett - what a smile!!
- Hunter - what a ham!!
- Shenango - our new kitten!!
Oh... did I forget to mention the new kitten? My boss and I were looking at houses on Monday morning near New London, OH on Shenango Road. We stopped by the side of the road (we drove separatly, so he could make it to another appointment) to talk, and a kitten walked out from under his car. I put it in my car thinking it got stuck under his car at the last house we were at with some other kittens. I took it back and they said it didn't look like the rest of their kittens. I called Aimee and she told me to bring it home.
Here is a picture from my camera phone as we drive down the road (I think at the speed limit!!) Note my concentration on the road and the kittens, care free attitude about the new trip.
This is where the kitten traveled throughout the rest of the day from New London to Sandusky to Huron and back to Bowling Green. I stopped at a store and got a can of food and he ate it pretty quick. First meal in a while i suppose.
And yes - being a wild kitten, he had flees --- and now i look back at this picture and cringe... Yuck.
I was teasing Aimee about bring home a dog the next day!!
Before I was even home, Hunter called me from mommy's cell phone and ask "You got my kitty daddy?" And so it goes, the kittens is Hunter's and he dictates who gets to hold the kitty and when. I don't think the kitty has touched the floor since I got home!! The boys are excited. Before I got home they ran to Wal-Mart to buy a litter box and litter, food, and dishes. I found Aimee's car in the parking lot and Shenango was on my sholder waiting for them. The boys were excited and jumped right into my car. He is such a care free cat!!!
Hunter's Kimmy had to come meet the kitty tonight. What a hoot!!
Chow!!
